BPH Masterclass at Akdital: Live Rezūm and ThuLEP Surgery with Prof. Rabii
On 23 October 2026, urologists from Morocco, the Arab world and beyond gathered at Akditalife Clinic for live Rezūm and ThuLEP procedures, led by Prof. Redouane Rabii and Prof. Adil Ouzzane.
On Friday 23 October 2026, the Akdital group held a medical masterclass on the latest techniques for treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The event took place at Akditalife Clinic (Casablanca Green Town, Bouskoura) and was led by Prof. Redouane Rabii and Prof. Adil Ouzzane.
Organised in partnership with the Moroccan Association of Endourology (AMEU) and the Arab Association of Urology (AAU), it brought together Moroccan urologists, doctors from across the Arab world and international specialists, including physicians delegated by the Arab association.

The two professors shared their scientific and practical experience, reviewed the available treatment options and discussed recent advances in the medical and surgical management of BPH.
According to the organisers, the initiative supports continuing medical education: sharing experience between practitioners, keeping Moroccan surgeons up to date with new urological technology, and strengthening scientific cooperation between Moroccan, Arab and international doctors for the benefit of patients.
Rezūm and ThuLEP at a glance
Rezūm: a minimally invasive treatment that uses water vapour to shrink the prostate tissue blocking urine flow. It is done as an outpatient procedure and preserves sexual function in the vast majority of cases.
ThuLEP: Thulium laser enucleation of the prostate, a surgical technique particularly suited to large prostates.
